Definition
The CISPR (International Special Committee on Radio Interference) is a set of standards for controlling electromagnetic interference in electrical and electronic devices, and is a part of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). CISPR is composed of six subcommittees, each responsible for a different area, defined as:

* Measurement of radio interference and statistical methods
* Measurement of interference regarding industrial, scientific or medical (ISM) equipment, high voltage equipment, power lines, or traction devices
* Interference in motor vehicles (both gasoline and electric)
* Interference in household appliances, tools and lighting equipment
* Limitations to protect radio frequencies
* Electromagnetic compatibility of information technology (IT) equipment, multimedia/hi-fi devices and radio equipment (receivers)
